“It’s the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. You can tell a beautiful story through a single post a day. Whatever you’re doing you’re able to really connect with people on a different, more personal level. What I did has no immediate profit for Sperry Farms as a growing company. We don’t have a brand. It should not only be the activists and water issues but also growers who talk about their own industry! I just think growers have to get the word out on what they’re doing.”

Every year in December, the Almond Board of California hosts The Almond Conference, which provides opportunities for growers and processors to interact with researchers and influential industry members on industry research, production news and regulatory issues. The three-day conference also features workshops and poster sessions dedicated to research topics, as well as presentations on global and local marketing programs.
