Paris Baguette Opens Fourth New Jersey Café in Manalapan on October 29

Paris Baguette is set to open a new bakery café at 357 US-9 in Manalapan, New Jersey, on October 29. The location is run by franchise owner Monica Ye, who is developing her fourth Paris Baguette site and the brand's fourth café in the state. The opening is part of a broader push to expand across the United States and Canada.

What the new café will offer

The Manalapan café will serve Paris Baguette's signature range of artisan pastries, cakes, breads and handcrafted beverages. The company describes the menu as freshly baked favorites, aimed at customers who want a morning coffee, a treat for a special occasion or a fresh snack during the day.

The grand opening runs Thursday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can sample food, enter gift and raffle drawings, and take part in music, face painting and balloon making. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled from 2:30 to 3 p.m., followed by a traditional lion dance from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Why the expansion matters for local shoppers

Manalapan sits along the U.S. Route 9 corridor in Central New Jersey, a stretch that has seen steady commercial growth. For residents, a bakery café on this route offers a sit-down option for coffee and baked goods without a long drive to a larger shopping center.

The company reports more than 4,000 locations worldwide and over 300 bakery cafés in North America, with several more in development. Those figures describe the brand's overall footprint, so the Manalapan café should be seen as one addition within a growing network rather than a signal of any particular local impact.

The franchise owner's background and plans

Monica Ye spent two decades in the technology industry before becoming a franchise owner. She has been a Paris Baguette customer for more than 10 years and has built her portfolio with locations in New York and New Jersey. In her words, the goal is to create a place where people can stop in for coffee, mark special occasions or enjoy something fresh.

Paris Baguette says it plans to reach 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada by 2030 and is working with local entrepreneurs to do so. Chief Executive Officer Darren Tipton described the strategy as re-establishing the neighborhood bakery café as a community gathering point. Such targets are company forecasts, and their outcome will depend on how the new locations perform.
